November in Pictures

It might be too late to post a November wrap-up, but I’m gonna do it anyway, just in case I want to remember these things 20 years from now.

It still surprises me how quickly the temperature is dropping and the scenery is changing.

Just a few weeks ago, everything seemed like it was wrapped in yellow, and last week I woke up to bare trees and biting wind, all traces of autumn has gone.

Last October has been a busy month with trips, birthdays, and weddings. So much so, that I felt I needed to not go anywhere for a while, to just stay home reading books with candles and lots of tea/coffee. My November has gone exactly according to the plan, thanks to the weather.

So here are a few things that I managed to do in November.

We went to Winchester Bonfire Night, and were in awe of the fireworks display.

The next day, we explored Winchester, and all the while I was feeling nostalgic. I visited Winchester for the first time in November 2013 Going back around the same time 4 years later brought back some beautiful memories.

Despite the weather, I quite enjoyed November and autumnal views. We went to the park and took a bunch of photos, just in time before the leaves were falling.

We bought our first Christmas tree and put it up in our small apartment. H felt strongly against putting up Christmas decorations before December, so we argued. I honestly don’t understand people who seem so annoyed by Christmassy things in November. So you get extra days of beautiful things, warm feelings, and enthusiasm. What’s wrong with that? Anyway, I won my case, so this Christmas tree has been up for 3 weeks now.

I spent a lot of time in bed, curling up under the blanket and reading. November was my most productive month this year, reading-wise. I also started reading Christmassy books in November. Might as well, right?

As the sunset was getting earlier, I was usually still working at my desk when the colors were changing. This is one of the photos I took of the blue hour.

I went to London for a day to sort out some things, and snapped this at the bus station on the way back. I don’t know why, but this is one of my favorite photos from this year. Never underestimate any humble place, guys.

Now that it’s December, I’m psyched about Christmas.

To be honest, I’ve been like this since a month ago…
