It wasn’t a proper hello to London. I was only there for twelve hours, going here and there without a chance to stroll around and soak the atmosphere of the city (it was always rush, rush, rush). I even got on that hop-on-hop-off bus that I’ve always loathed.
One advantage of that trip was I pretty much got all the touristic places covered (thank you, dear hop-on-hop-off bus), so it’s pretty safe to say I won’t be there again until next year, when my siblings come here (or, you know, if I accidentally pass those places).
And because we were in England, the weather changed in the speed of light. One time the sky was cloudy and grey with drizzles, the next minute it decided to be nice by being blue and sunny.
It was an awry hello for such an amazing city, which is why I’m going back there at the end of this month, with a plan of lots and lots of walking. No itinerary, no rush. No ambitious plan to cover zillion of places in inconsiderable amount of time. It will just be a relaxing weekend away with friends, probably going to Camden market and that Harry Potter thing. And hopefully I won’t do much damage to my poor wallet.
See you in three weeks, London!
