She woke up today with a heavy heart.

An emotion that, when she thought about it, left her feeling deflated and unsure about life.

It was supposed to be good, and she was just doing her bit of being sensible. But is sensible really necessary? she thought.

Her mind wandered to all the places she’d unconsciously pinned to her bedroom wall, opposite her tiny bed. The realization suddenly struck her, with such clarity she knew she couldn’t resist.

Adventures await, in the most bizarre places, at the most unexpected times. If only she could have more freedom.

Today was the day she let her life changed.

The day when she surrendered to her curiosity, followed her heart and chose a path less easy to walk on. The day when she let her heart win, and lead her to a life of uncertainties that she’d spent years to avoid. But she couldn’t feel more thrilled.

The bouquet laid on the grass, forgotten. She continued to walk — away from the crowd, into the wild.

She didn’t look back.
