Some things along the way vol. 2: Couplets and Solitaires

When I travel, I take pictures of everything. Monuments, people, mosaics, floor, landscapes, architectures, you name it. Some of them are random things I found interesting. Looking at these particular random/interesting photos could actually remind me of the exact thought I had when I saw it. Sometimes my imagination goes a bit overboard and creates a mini story of little things that are usually meaningless to people.

Continuing from here — a series of random pictures on my travel — I’ve compiled another collection of photos, this time with the theme Couplets and Solitaires.

235Two doors, Winchester. “And they live side by side, happily ever after.”

IMG_2094Puppy love, Winchester. “It’s love at the first sight.”

IMG_2111Surviving leaves, Winchester. “They could have lived happily, then came the third leaf.”

IMG_8933Outside, Bath. “Let’s chill out.”

IMG_3864Solitude, Oxford.

IMG_3457Contemplating, Edinburgh.

IMG_1921Solemnity, London.

IMG_5228The cheery snowman, Zugspitze.

You might notice that the ‘couplets‘ pictures are colorful, compared to the ‘solitaires‘ pictures that are rather monochromatic. This is purely unintentional, but in all fairness, things tend to be more colorful when you’re with someone, as cheesy as it may sound. I also didn’t have much imagination for this ‘solitaires‘ pictures, and I guess it’s because I felt rather forlorn when I saw these things (I know it’s crazy to feel that way for, say, a bike. But that’s really how I felt). And explaining the feeling would take more than a sentence, so I let it be.

Feelings are complicated, indeed.
